A generalist by nature

I started out in the early days of web design, doing an internship where feeling like a fraud in an area I found fascinating encouraged me to learn something new after work every single day. Since then I've spent my career moving across the design spectrum rather than specialising in one particular discipline.

I've worked in marketing, research, interaction and visual design, product discovery, front-end development and whatever else has sparked my curiosity along the way.

I'm particularly enjoying this new era of experimentation and what it means for design. In some ways it reminds me of the early days of the web, when we were all learning, experimenting and figuring things out as we went.

What I do now

I lead a team of designers at Just Eat, working closely with Product and Engineering leaders to define strategy, direction and focus for our teams. I like to stay close to the work too, whether that's getting into the pixel-level details of an interaction or facilitating ideation and vision design sprints.

I enjoy mentoring and coaching designers and creating the conditions for people to thrive. I believe diverse, supported and happy teams make better things.

Outside of work

I'm naturally curious and easily distracted by new things — currently that means tinkering with Claude, Cursor and whatever else catches my attention. I love discovering new music and movies, but my favourite thing is spending time with my wife and daughter, remembering old adventures and plotting the next one. I also spend more time than I should crafting new decks in Magic: The Gathering online.
